Swedish four-piece Boy With Apple are emerging as one of Gothenburg’s most intriguing new dream-pop acts, blending shimmering shoegaze guitars, hazy vocals and melancholic synth textures with the unexpected pulse of a 90s-inspired drum machine. Influenced by artists including Slowdive, Cocteau Twins and DIIV, the band have drawn praise for their ethereal sound and introspective songwriting, with comparisons to Lush and late-era Cocteau Twins. Rooted in Gothenburg’s rich indie heritage, Boy With Apple continue to put their own modern spin on shoegaze and dream-pop. They featured in Louder Than War, God is in the TV and played international festivals including New Colossus Festival and South by Southwest in the US and Roskilde Festival in Denmark.
