Kid Spirit is an alternative rock / synth-pop band from Lincolnshire. After relocating from Sussex, Luke Parker (vox/keys) reformed the band in 2023 with a fresh new lineup by welcoming former band flames and friends alike, Steve Heather (bass), Lewis Duckworth (guitar) and Jim Cator (drums).
Reuniting from their former local indie noughties outfit ‘Old Arcadians’ Luke & Lewis wasted no time in getting to work crafting their sonics since the beginning of the year, allowing the full band to find its identity and come to life as a collective. Having just released their first demo ‘With You’ into the digital airspace of social media platforms, it features the perfect snapshot of trademark Parker songwriting. The synth-pop song nicely bounces along with, uniformed rhythm, driving guitars and soaring synths, offering glimpses of Bombay Bicycle Club grooves and The Horrors-esque keyboards. The band is already looking ahead to studio recording slots and a tour in 2024.
