Mike McKenzie

Mike McKenzie is an award-winning songwriter, producer and recording artist based in Edinburgh. His debut solo album, I’d Wait Again (released April 2025) was described by The List as “A melting pot of Scottish folk, jangle pop and Americana” and received immediate support from BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 4, BBC Scotland and over 120 regional stations throughout the UK.

Touring has seen Mike perform in iconic venues around the UK and beyond including King Tut’s in Glasgow, Queen’s Hall in Edinburgh, Green Note in London, Hyde Park Book Club in Leeds and several SoFar Sounds shows throughout the UK and in Paris.
Outside of his solo work, Mike is a prolific writer and collaborator, having previously worked on projects with PJ Moore (The Blue Nile), Black Lilys, Eve Simpson and Haquin as well as regularly writing with artists and songwriters from around the world. He’s a founding member of mid 2000’s pop/rock outfit JAKIL.
