Mondays Child

Monday’s Child are an alternative rock band consisting of the McKay sisters Jen (vocals), Lauren (guitar), and Clara (bass), alongside their friend Caitlin Lenfestey (drums).  Growing up in a musical household, their sound blends grungy, upbeat rock anthems with moody, ethereal pieces. Major influences on the band include The Breeders, Queens of the Stone Age, Hole, Jeff Buckley and Alice in Chains. They secured airplay courtesy of BBC Radio Ulster and RTE 2FM and with recording sessions booked towards the end of 2024. They play the Off Axis x Un-Convention showcase at Output as part of Sound of Belfast festival on Tuesday 12 November 2024 at The Dirty Onion
