Hailing from the Highland towns of Kinlochleven and Fort William and with members as far afield as Newcastle The Shine create catchy brit-pop / acoustic folk. The five-piece band have supported Kyle Falconer (The View) and played festivals such as Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, WestFest, as well as big local events like Downhill Mountain Bike World Cup and Scottish Six Days Trials. They’ve been Artist of the Week in Scotland On Sunday and enjoyed airplay on Amazing Radio, Nevis Radio and helped raise awareness for Inverness-based mental health and suicide prevention charity Mikeysline.
