Newcastle’s multi-venue music festival Aelius Alternative returns for the third edition on Saturday 18 April 2026 at three beloved city centre grassroots music venues; The Globe, Head of Steam and Mosaic Tap 2pm – 11pm tickets £17.00
Aelius Alternative Festival is growing organically and has already become an unmissable part of the north east’s live music calendar. Over the past two years the event has supported over 160 creatives, with over 35 partners, helping celebrate 6 grassroots music venues. Hundreds of music fans attended Aelius Alternative in 2025, with the festival receiving raving reviews and coverage in NARC, The Crack, on Amazing Radio, and from The Support Act Podcast. Partners this year include Off Axis, Tonic Music for Mental Health, local music academy NAME and Night Owl Promotions.
